ECNUAK believes in a holistic, whole-child approach to education, adhering to a combination of Chinese and Western education, adopting an international curriculum and as a result promoting it as a home to a thriving multicultural atmosphere. ECNUAK pays close attention to the cultivation and integration of education whilst developing our students’ unique personalities and critical thinking abilities. We strive to emphasise the importance of our humanities, art creation as well as devoting ourselves to fostering lifelong learners who are rooted in China and rich in international vision.

We currently implement an integration of Chinese and international courses.International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP). The kindergarten is in the process of trial teaching of the IBPYP curriculum framework, centring on the transdisciplinary themes, adopting recognised inquiry learning methods and organically integrating the National and Shanghai curriculal reform courses. Guiding children in their educational journey to become lifelong learners who can adapt to social needs and solve practical problems the world over.

We boast an experienced international team of teachers who uphold the high standards and aspirations of ECNUAK. Our teachers have different languages and cultural backgrounds, from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, South Africa and many other countries. All foreign teachers have foreign expert certificates, and all teachers have passed professional qualification training. Relying on professional platforms such as International Diploma Organization and East China Normal University, we continue to provide on-going professional development for teachers and we encourage teachers to innovate within their teaching practice.

ECNUAK pays close attention to the importance of arts, Music and P.E. in children’s education. We provide physical education and art classes, and we have a thorough library. Our School calendar is action packed with extracurricular themes, events and activities. Fashion shows, art shows, the summer concert, library week and many other rich activities are just around the corner at ECNUAK. Providing both Chinese and international festivals to meet the diversified learning needs of children.

At ECNUAK we pay special attention to students health, ensuring they eat from a nutritionally rich menu that will aid in the healthy growth of their bodies. Equipped with professional health teachers and five-star Chinese and Western chefs to ensure the healthy growth of children. The kindergarten canteen is certified as Jiading Safe Canteen.
