Homeroom Teacher Workshop Launch & Basic Skills Competition KickoffTo strengthen homeroom teacher development, enhance professional expertise, and create a platform for exchange, our school held the Homeroom Teacher Workshop Launch Basic Skills Competition Kickoff on May 23rd.The event introduces tiered training through two groups: New Seedlings (0-5 years’ experience) and Elite (5+ years’ experience). Over six months, participants will compete in four modules—educational storytelling, themed class design, scenario simulations, and more. This dual-track system supports novice teachers in building foundational skills while encouraging veterans to innovate, driving excellence in homeroom education and enriching our school’s moral education framework.

Kindergarten Sports DayOn May 19, our kindergarten’s parent-child sports day, themed “Smile Brightly, Run Happily,” concluded with joyful laughter. The event kicked off with creative performances by each class’s formation—children in matching outfits marched with youthful yet synchronized steps, earning cheers from parents.Fun-filled races, obstacle courses, and parent-child team challenges engaged the children, while families collaborated enthusiastically, filling the venue with applause and giggles. Beyond boosting physical fitness, the day strengthened family bonds through play. Parents praised the event: “Watching our kids run with confidence brings immense pride—such activities are truly meaningful!”

G3 10th Birthday CeremonyOn May 23, SABS’s third-grade students, teachers, and parents gathered in the auditorium for the Ten Years of Growth, Blooming Steps ceremony. The event featured ten performances symbolizing perfection, showcasing students’ growth through art, music, and drama.Breaking from traditional class-based displays, the grade encouraged active participation, ensuring every child took part in at least one act—reflecting the school’s commitment to high-quality, inclusive, and diverse education. Teachers integrated project-based learning into rehearsals, transforming preparations into a showcase of academic and creative skills. The ceremony also incorporated elements of the district’s Happy Curriculum, culminating in a heartfelt rendition of Best Version of Ourselves, expressing hope for the future.

Communist Youth League Democratic Appraisal MeetingOn May 13, following a merit-based admission process and democratic evaluations by League members and the public, the Communist Youth League Branch Committee of Shanghai Huaxu Bilingual School approved the 2025 first-semester membership list. Members then studied theRegulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Youth League of China, focusing on political and organizational discipline, as well as disciplinary procedures, to strengthen accountability and clarify behavioral standards.
