I am a South African, born and brought up in the city of Durban.  After completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and Law in 2001, I realized my true passion laid in education and pursued a PGCE specializing in teaching English 1^st Language from Grade 8 to 12.  I have spent more than 14 years as a Senior English educator and Subject Co-Ordinator teaching in South Africa before my husband and I decided to take the plunge, in 2019, to start our international teaching careers in China.  I joined the ECNUAS team in 2021 and I am presently teaching IGCSE and IB curriculums. As a teacher, I truly believe that I have great responsibility to mould the future generation.  Teachers have a pivotal role in facilitating the learning process by creating environments where students grow, learn and develop into people who impact this world. My vision is to see my students exceed beyond their expectations, becoming the individuals they are destined to be.

我是一名生于、长于德班的南非人。2001年，我顺利完成了英语和法律专业的学习并取得了相关文学士学位。然后我意识到我对教育的热爱，并取得了PGCE证书，可以教授将英语作为第一语言的8至12年级学生。之后我在南非担任了14年的高级英语教师和学科协调员，在2019年，我和丈夫决定挑战一下自己，来到中国，开始我们的国际教学生涯。2021年，我加入华师双语教师团队，目前教授高中部IGCSE和IB课程。作为一名教师，我相信我对培养下一代负有重大责任。教师在促进学生学习的过程中起着关键作用，他们创造环境，让学生成长、学习并发展成为影响世界的人。我的愿景是看到我的学生达到并超越预期，最终取得成功。
