On October 10,the dormitory department organized a “HOUSE Cooking Challenge” for secondary and high school students. This initiative enabled boarding students to fully participate in every stage—from event planning and ingredient sourcing to food preparation—exercising considerable autonomy to showcase their talents and preferences. Students demonstrated various cooking skills—stir-frying, pan-frying, stewing, boiling, and roasting—with great proficiency while developing life skills through teamwork. This collaborative effort between secondary and high school students exemplifies the strengths of SABS K12 education. ‘Learning to do things’ is one of the ‘Four Learnings’ in SABS's growth curriculum, where daily studies and life experiences serve as effective pathways for student development.
