On December 30, Vice President Vincent Xu was elected as a council member at the second meeting of the ninth council of the Shanghai Population Welfare Foundation.

In his address, Municipal Health Commission Deputy Director Lu Taohong recognized the council's recent progress and achievements. He emphasized aligning the foundation's work with national policies on population and health to contribute to building a birth-friendly society.
