The design and implementation of the school-based curriculum “K-12Chinese Traditional Culture Curriculum in the Perspective of International Education” serves the educational purpose and training objectives of our school.This school-based course has been set as one of the main courses of our school.It is led by President Gong Dehui and Vice President Qiu Chao, and includes thehead of the department, the head of the Chinese teaching and research team, and other outstanding teachers (1 Ph.D., 8 masters), 4 departments working together to design this curriculum. Persisting in the spirit of cultural heritage, we are not limited to the practices of ancient times, not unencumbered by anyinterest, and not unrestrained by our era in the process of building this curriculum. Based on the characteristics of the times, regions, schools, andstudents, we will work together to create a systematic, scientific K-12 Chinese traditional culture curriculum which emphasize cultural understanding,experience and inheritance.
The school-based curriculum K-12 ChineseTraditional Culture Course Based on International Education Vision not only hasa high-quality teaching and research team, but also has a strong expert guidance team. After a busy day’s work, we invited Bao Pengshan, an expert inancient literature and culture, Huang Yufeng, a middle school Chinese language teacher, and Sun Weiming, a research fellow at the research institute of theJiading Advanced Institute, to come to our school to design the school-based curriculum at 6 PM yesterday. They give a lot of in-depth criticism, suggestion and guidance on the design and implementation of Chinese traditional curriculum.
The meeting was hosted by Vice PresidentQiu Chao, and President Gong Dehui personally introduced the curriculum. Three experts explained their understanding, expectations and suggestions for this curriculum. As a professional course researcher, Sun Weiming’s teacher focusedon the academic aspect of the curriculum. The teacher Bao Pengshan, who once taught for the people in the lecture theatre gave us guidance on the design ofthe content of the Chinese culture curriculum. After Mr. Bao, Huang Yufeng, the top-ranking Chinese teacher and now committed to running a school, expressed his opinion on the implementation of Chinese traditional culture curriculum inprimary and secondary schools.
The three experts came a long way to ourschool and provided valuable instruction, corrections and suggestions for the design and implementation of our traditional Chinese culture curriculum. Our teachers had the honor to enjoy this spiritual feast. The entire seminar lasted for more than two hours. We want to show our appreciation to these three expertsfor their guidance. We also look forward to continuing support and encouragement in the future.
