10月20日，我校小学部数学教研组三位骨干教师继续赴紫荆小学，参与主题为《“支架赋能，思维可见——从“会算平均数”到“懂统计意义”》的两校联合教研活动。老师们共同观摩韩小羽老师执教的《平均数的意义与计算①》一课。本课依托STAR备课模型设计，打破重计算、轻说理的传统模式，聚焦概念意义建构，搭建情境、工具、图形与语言多层学习支架，打通新旧知识、图形与数量的关联，引导学生思辨说理，发展数据意识。课后，两校教师围绕本节课支架的设计与运用、统计素养在课堂中的落实等要点深入交流，分享教学思考，碰撞教学思路，在研讨中互学共进。On October 20, three teachers from our primary math group visited Zijing Primary School for a joint research activity. They observed Ms. Han Xiaoyu’s lesson, “The Meaning and Calculation of the Mean.” Using the STAR model, the lesson built multi-layered scaffolds to help students understand statistical meaning and develop data awareness. Afterwards, teachers from both schools exchanged views on scaffold design and statistical literacy, sharing ideas and learning from each other.

10月19日至23日，高二年级全体学生赴浏河营地开展学农实践活动。本次活动内容丰富多元，同学们走进田间，体验割稻、播种蚕豆、搭建微型园林景观、培育水培植物、草编手作等农事项目，并聆听农业专题知识讲座。同学们亲身参与农事劳作，真切感受农耕的辛劳，进一步树立珍惜粮食的意识。活动坚持理论与实践相结合，邀请专家现场科普讲解，搭配学生沉浸式动手实操，引导同学们近距离认识现代农业，感受农业发展的新面貌。From October 19 to 23, all Grade 11 students took part in an agricultural practice at Liuhe Camp. They experienced rice harvesting, broad bean sowing, miniature landscape building, hydroponic cultivation and straw weaving, and attended agriculture lectures. Through hands-on work, they learned the hardship of farming and developed a stronger awareness of cherishing food. Combining theory with practice, the activity helped students better understand modern agriculture.

高中部秋季读书周活动已于上周圆满落幕。本次活动由高中图书馆联合国际部中文组、英语组及普高部语文组共同策划筹办。活动期间，每日中午推出丰富多元的阅读趣味项目，在紧凑繁忙的学业节奏里，为同学们留出了一段专注阅读的美好时光。 活动形式丰富多样，包含校园图书漂流、甲骨文探索与泥塑体验、文学接力跑、AI文学识别挑战赛、阅读成果展等，以沉浸式、互动式的阅读体验，点燃大家的阅读热情。The High School Autumn Reading Week concluded last week. Organized by the school library and language departments, it offered lunchtime activities such as book crossing, oracle bone script and clay sculpture, a literature relay, an AI literary challenge, and a reading exhibition, sparking students’ enthusiasm through immersive and interactive experiences.

上周，各校区分别开展“第十届图书漂流活动”。活动现场，老师和同学们踊跃捐出自己闲置的“宝藏”书籍，让好书重新流动、传递知识。本次共募集到书籍近1200本，将统一送往江西铅山姐妹学校，为当地学生送去阅读资源与温暖关怀。活动以图书漂流为载体，既倡导绿色共享、循环阅读的理念，也进一步加深了校际情谊，让爱心与书香跨越山海、持续传递。Last week, each campus held the 10th Book Crossing Activity. Teachers and students donated nearly 1,200 idle books, which will be sent to our sister school in Yanshan, Jiangxi, to share reading resources and warmth. The activity promotes green sharing and circular reading while deepening inter-school friendship and passing on love and the joy of books.

Themed around the “twelve shichen,” the event centered on four educational pillars: learning to be, to learn, to do, and to live together.Highlights included the School Spirit Run; oracle bone script and clay sculpture experiences, storytelling and dubbing competitions; music flash mobs, art exhibitions, science fairs and long-scroll painting; the unveiling of the Whole-Life Career Planning Office, a partnership signing with the University of Manchester, and a whole-school inflatable cake decoration; as well as the Outstanding Homework Exhibition and the “Little Boat Sets Sail” event.Twelve years of blooming; a new journey dawns. From this new starting point, SABS will stay true to its educational mission and accompany every student toward a brighter future.
