The vice chair reported on key tasks: organizing a parent empowerment workshop, inviting parents of outstanding graduates to share experiences; conducting unannounced cafeteria inspections; and establishing home-school communication channels. The principal then outlined priorities in teaching quality, moral education, and student mental health. The meeting concluded that home and school will work together to support students' healthy growth and all-round development.

5月14日，一、二年级完成了PYP主题探究成果展示活动，一年级的主题是《通过艺术体会情感》融合绘画、音乐等多元艺术手段，引导学生探索和表达内心情绪。同学们围绕六大基本情绪（如喜、怒、哀、惧、爱、惊）创作画作，并用中英文进行解说。部分学生还增加了表演环节，现场演绎画作内容。此外，全体师生共同观看了学生艺术表演视频，进一步丰富了体验形式。二年级的主题是《光与影》，在活动中学生探究光源特性、影子变化及光影应用。在成果展中，学生通过皮影戏表演、小组互动实验、光影教室布置等形式，不仅对该主题有了深刻的认识，更提升了探究、协作与反思能力，教师也见证了好奇心被点燃，获家长好评。On May 14, Grade 1 and 2 students held their PYP exhibition. Grade 1's theme was Expressing Emotions Through Art, using painting, music, and other art forms to help students explore their feelings. They created artworks based on six basic emotions (joy, anger, sadness, fear, love, surprise) and presented them bilingually. Some added live performances, and all watched a video of their art performances. Grade 2's theme was Light and Shadow. Students explored light sources, shadow changes, and applications through shadow puppet shows, group experiments, and a light-and-shadow classroom display. This deepened their understanding while improving inquiry, collaboration, and reflection skills. Teachers saw their curiosity ignited, and parents gave positive feedback.

In this innovative race, participants had to solve math problems quickly and accurately before passing the baton. Students sprinted against the clock, staying calm and focused while balancing speed and precision. Teammates worked together seamlessly as the crowd cheered enthusiastically. The event cleverly combined athletics with math learning, making education fun. It boosted both physical fitness and calculation skills, fully showcasing our students' energetic and thoughtful spirit.

上周，英国帝国理工学院王礼良教授团队应邀来访华旭双语学校，龚德辉校长和徐彦昕副校长热情接待了来宾。龚校详细介绍了学校的教育理念和育人模式，并着重交流了STEM等跨学科项目建设情况。王教授认为，华旭的培养方式与帝国理工的理念非常契合，了解到学校近年来有优秀的校友入读帝国理工，此次来到校园更加深了对华旭学子持续成长的印象，期待在此基础上可以与学校有更多交流与合作。英国帝国理工学院的机械工程学院在英国乃至全球都非常强势，尤其在航空航天、先进制造、材料、能源和机器人方向长期位居世界前列。王教授是该学院机械工程系的重要学者之一，目前担任可持续制造教授，金属成形与材料建模研究方向核心负责人。Professor Li-Liang Wang and his team from Imperial College London were invited to SABS, where Principal Gloria Gong and Vice Principal Vincent Xu gave them a warm welcome. Principal Gong introduced the school's educational philosophy and student development model, with a focus on STEM and other interdisciplinary programs. Professor Wang noted that SABS's approach aligns well with Imperial's values. Learning that several SABS alumni have recently enrolled at Imperial, he was impressed by their continued growth and expressed hope for further collaboration.Imperial's Department of Mechanical Engineering is globally renowned, particularly in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, materials, energy, and robotics. Professor Wang is a key scholar in the department, serving as Professor of Sustainable Manufacturing and lead researcher in Metal Forming and Materials Modelling.

5 月 15 日，上海市民办中小学协会 2025 年会暨党建交流活动在我校顺利举办。市教委相关负责人、协会领导及全市民办中小学代表参会。会上，胡卫副会长剖析民办教育面临的三重挑战，强调教育需转向 “人的全面发展”。徐彦昕书记代表华双发言，以四个“坚持”来概括上海华旭双语学校党建工作开展经验，即坚持政治引领与组织嵌入，把党的领导融入现代学校治理；坚持辐射引领，以家校社协同拓展党建育人空间；坚持长期主义，以跨区域共建彰显民办学校党建担当；坚持问题导向，以持续改进提升党建引领实效。获与会代表高度认可。我校将以此为契机，进一步强化党建引领，深耕全面育人，助力上海民办教育高质量发展。On May 15, the Association's 2025 Annual Conference and Party Building Exchange was successfully held at our school. Attendees included officials from the Municipal Education Commission, association leaders, and representatives from private primary and secondary schools across Shanghai.At the conference, Vice President Hu Wei highlighted three major challenges facing private education and called for a shift toward holistic human development. Vincent Xu, Secretary of our school's Party branch, shared SABS's Party building experience around four commitments: political guidance and organizational integration; radiating leadership through home-school-community collaboration; long-termism via cross-regional co-construction; and problem-oriented continuous improvement. Currently, AIC has been implemented on a routine basis in over 800 schools across 22 provincial regions in China. The platform has analysed more than 20,000 real classroom videos, with the system’s stability and scientific rigour having been validated through large-scale practical application.
