上周，小学部“篮燃新学期”乐动篮球比赛在体育馆开赛，覆盖一至五年级全体学生，设置分层化、趣味化项目，实现全员参与、全员成长。比赛分层竞技：一年级进行原地运球、投圈接力，主打趣味启蒙；二年级开展折返运球接力与投圈接力；三、四年级进阶折返运球接力与标准投篮接力；五年级举行3V3篮球对抗赛。赛场上，同学们运球稳健、投篮利落、默契配合，奋勇拼搏。本次比赛丰富了校园文体生活，同学们在运动中收获快乐、锤炼意志、凝聚力量，将在新学期不断成长。Last week, the Primary School held the “Basketball Ignites the New Semester” fun basketball competition in the gym. All students from Grades 1–5 joined tiered, fun events. Grade 1: stationary dribbling and hoop relay; Grade 2: shuttle dribbling and hoop relay; Grades 3–4: shuttle dribbling and standard shooting relay; Grade 5: 3V3 tournament. Students showed steady dribbling, smooth shooting, teamwork, and determination. The event enriched campus life and helped students gain joy, build character, and grow together in the new semester.

Clubs in art, academics, sports, and literature set up booths. Club leaders introduced their features, plans, and requirements, while students visited booths and signed up enthusiastically. The fair provided a platform for interest development and self-expression, enriched extracurricular life, and injected fresh vitality into campus culture.

9月18日，小学部开展“9·18”防空演习暨爱国主义教育。G4全体师生代表小学部参加校级演习。警报响起后，全体师生迅速、有序疏散，仅用4分05秒全部集合至指定地点，过程紧张有序。演练结束后，各班开展主题教育，引导学生了解历史、铭记国耻，在警报声中读懂和平的分量。此次活动既增强了师生安全防范意识和应急疏散能力，也进一步激发了爱国情怀，取得良好教育效果。On Sept 18, the Primary School held a “9·18” air defence drill and patriotic education. G4 teachers and students joined the school-wide drill on behalf of the Primary School. At the alarm, all evacuated quickly and orderly, assembling at the designated spot in 4 minutes 5 seconds. Classes then held themed education to help students understand history, remember national humiliation, and appreciate peace. The drill enhanced safety awareness and emergency skills while inspiring patriotism.

9月14日，初中部邀请华东师范大学生命科学学院哲学博士刘长燕，围绕青春期身体与心理变化开讲，解析身高猛增、第二性征及大脑“重塑风暴”等科学原理，引导学生正确应对情绪波动，学会自我引导、自我保护与情绪管理。9月16日，小学部邀请上海共同家园社区公益发展中心主任施军老师，带来“大脑守护者联盟——校园运动伤害预防与脑外伤院前急救”第一课。施老师以案例带领学生认识意识、瞳孔、血压、呼吸四大生命体征，学习格拉斯哥昏迷评分等技能，互动热烈。学校将持续深化协同育人，为孩子健康成长筑牢防线。On Sept 14, the Middle School invited Liu Changyan, PhD from East China Normal University, to discuss adolescent physical and mental changes, including rapid growth, secondary sexual characteristics and the brain’s “remodeling,” helping students manage emotions and protect themselves.On Sept 16, the Primary School welcomed Shi Jun, Director of the Shanghai Common Home Community Public Welfare Development Center, for a lesson on campus sports injury prevention and prehospital first aid for brain injury. 上周，幼儿园与小学部教师以“看见儿童的连续成长”为主题，开展华旭双语幼小衔接联合教研。通过校园参观、共听一堂课、圆桌讨论，小学教师了解幼儿入学前发展状态，幼儿园教师了解小学课程要求与各学科学习要求，保障学业连续性。教研强调，一年级适应问题常不在知识，而在专注、听指令、管理学习用品、遵守课堂规则和适应固定节奏，学习习惯培养比超前学习更重要。此次联合教研有温度、有专业、有远见，把“儿童立场”落到细节，让幼小衔接更科学完善。Last week, kindergarten and primary teachers held a joint transition teaching and research event themed “Seeing Children’s Continuous Growth.” Through campus visits, class observation, and roundtables, they learned about children’s pre-Grade 1 development and primary curriculum expectations.The event stressed that Grade 1 adjustment depends less on knowledge than on focus, instructions, supplies, rules, and routines—learning habits matter more than advanced learning. It played Blooming Flowers and Full Moon and The Brightest Star in the Night Sky, opening the event to warm applause and praise from district and town leaders. The performance showcased SABS students' artistry and the school's commitment to community service and regional co-building.
