5月22日，华旭学校家长赋能课堂温情开讲。本期活动特邀三位具有代表性的初中部/高中部毕业生家长，围绕主题 “温柔的托举：从焦虑到觉醒的养育之路” ，带来了帝国理工、纽约大学及上海“四校”升学路上的真实养育复盘。三位过来人从自身经历出发，分享了如何在高竞争环境下调整心态、与孩子共同成长，帮助在场家长缓解升学焦虑，回归教育本质。现场互动热烈，不少家长表示收获颇丰。On May 22, three SABS parents of graduates shared their real experiences on the theme Gentle Support: From Anxiety to Awakening for college admissions to Imperial College, NYU, and Shanghai's top four schools. They discussed adjusting mindsets and growing with children in a competitive environment, helping ease parents' anxiety. The session ended with lively interaction and positive feedback.

5月24日，我校组织初高中新入团学生前往周公馆，举行了一场庄严而有意义的入团仪式。清晨，升旗仪式正式开始。全体学生肃立于周恩来总理铜像前，依次敬献鲜花，并庄重宣读誓词，表达对革命先辈的崇高敬意。随后，同学们观看了主题纪录片《少年、青年周恩来的逐梦之路》，影片生动展现了周恩来总理从少年到青年的求索与奋斗，深深感染了在场每一位同学。紧接着，学校举行了庄严肃穆的入团仪式，新团员们在团旗下庄严宣誓。仪式结束后，同学们在场馆专业讲解员的带领下，深入了解周公馆的历史底蕴，接受了一次生动的爱国主义教育。此次活动将入团仪式与红色教育深度融合，引导青年学子以周恩来总理为榜样，坚定理想信念，厚植家国情怀，在新时代征程上砥砺前行、奋发有为。On May 24, new middle and high school League members held a ceremony at Zhou Enlai's Former Residence. They stood before Premier Zhou's statue, laid flowers, and took an oath. After watching a documentary on Zhou's youth, they officially joined the League under its flag. A guided tour of the site followed, offering a patriotic education. The event combined the ceremony with red heritage, inspiring students to follow Zhou's example and strive forward in the new era.

上周，初中部第七届“悦读汇”圆满落幕。这一次，我们不设舞台，而是让每一位学生在纸上留下属于自己的阅读痕迹。六、七、八年级全体同学以班级为单位，共读一本书，共绘一卷卷“阅读长卷”。从书封再设计到人物判词，从一句话感悟到开卷语发问，每一张纸都是思考的出口。5月18日，各班2人小组进行了再次创作，完成长卷拼接；5月20日起，二楼走廊化身书香长廊，班级长卷静静铺展，吸引无数驻足。阅读不必喧嚣，痕迹自有回响。On May 18, the 7th Reading Festival concluded. Instead of a stage, students left their reading traces on paper. Grades 6–8, class by class, read one book together and created reading scrolls from cover redesigns to character comments, from one-line thoughts to opening questions. On May 18, pairs from each class spliced the scrolls. From May 20, the second-floor hallway became a gallery of scrolls, drawing many visitors. Reading need not be noisy; its echoes remain.

5月22日，“十岁恰少年，岁月暖童心”三年级十岁成长礼圆满举行，这是一场属于孩子们的盛大仪式，更是一次家校携手、共同见证成长的温馨相聚。成长礼在啦啦操《向阳而生》中拉开帷幕，情景剧、课桌操、舞蹈、朗诵等节目轮番上演，尽显少年朝气。家长与教师分别带来《送你一朵小红花》《明天会更好》，用歌声传递祝福。亲子家书、感恩卡片环节温暖动人，全场共唱《最好少年》。愿每一位少年，都带着这份来自学校与家庭的爱与期望，向阳而生，逐光而行！On May 22, the Ten Years Old, Just a Youth G3 Coming-of-Age Ceremony was held — a grand celebration for children and a warm gathering of parents and school.The event featured cheerleading, sitcoms, desk exercises, dances, and recitals, all showcasing youthful energy. Parents and teachers performed songs, while parent-child letters and gratitude cards touched many hearts. The ceremony ended with everyone singing The Best Youngster.May every child, carrying this love and hope from home and school, grow towards the sun and walk towards the light!

5月18日，菲律宾中正学院 30 余名教师和校董参访华双校园，互赠代表友谊的校旗，与华双洽谈结成姐妹学校事宜。“菲律宾中正中学”由王泉笙、杨启泰等菲律宾华侨领袖在马尼拉于 1939 年创立，最初提供六年制中文课程和四年制英文课程。1968 年增设小学部，成为覆盖幼儿园至大学的完整教育体系。2009 年获中国国务院侨办评定为首批 “海外华文教育示范学校”，2023 年成为菲律宾仅有的三所提供完整国际文凭课程连续课程（PYP、MYP、DP）世界学校之一，现有学生 3000 多人。学校在菲华社区中享有盛誉，被誉为当地华社的“最高学府”，中国驻菲律宾大使也曾多次访问该校并对其在传播中文与中华文化方面的贡献给予高度评价。在这所历经时代之变的学校身上，我们看到了经历战火的坚毅，多元包容的文化，不断迭代的课程体系，和对中华文化的友好和尊重，期待两校能相互学习，架起友谊和交流的桥梁。More than 30 teachers and board members from Chiang Kai-shek College in the Philippines visited the SABS campus, where we exchanged school flags as a symbol of friendship and discussed establishing a sister-school relationship with SABS. Chiang Kai-shek College was founded in Manila in 1939 by overseas Chinese leaders such as Wang Quansheng and Yang Qitai, initially offering a six-year Chinese curriculum and a four-year English curriculum. In 1968, a primary school was added, establishing a comprehensive educational system spanning from kindergarten to university. In 2009, it was designated by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China as one of the first “Model Schools for Overseas Chinese Language Education”. In 2023, it became one of only three World Schools in the Philippines to offer the full IB programmes, including PYP, MYP, and DP. The school currently has over 3,000 students. The school enjoys a distinguished reputation within the Chinese community in the Philippines and is hailed as the ‘premier institution of learning’ for the local Chinese community. The Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines has visited the school on numerous occasions and has spoken highly of its contributions to promoting the Chinese language and culture. In this school, which has weathered the changes of time, we see resilience forged through the fires of war, a culture of diversity and inclusivity, a continuously evolving curriculum, and a spirit of friendship and respect for Chinese culture. We look forward to both schools learning from one another and building a bridge of friendship and exchange.

这学期刚刚组建的腰旗橄榄球校队 U10 组，首次出战“长三角校际橄榄球联赛春季赛”，打四胜三负一，荣获团体亚军！这是本学期校队建设首队首战首捷，祝贺体育组和获奖的学生们，华双腰旗橄榄球队未来可期！The U10 team of our school’s flag football squad, formed this term, made its debut in the ‘Yangtze River Delta Inter-School Flag Football League Spring Tournament’. With four wins, three losses, and one draw, they earned second place in the team competition. This marks the school team's first achievement in its inaugural match this term. Congratulations to the PE Department and the students—the SABS Flag Football Team shows great promise!
